Lisa Poetker, BMR(PT), CAFCI, Owner
Lisa graduated from the School of Medical Rehabilitation at the University of Manitoba in the year 2000. She has been licensed in Acupuncture and trigger point needling since 2001. She has enjoyed a rewarding career in private practice, focused on treating musculoskeletal injuries from the jaw right down to the big toe. She is a lifelong learner and is passionate about continuing education. She has attended numerous professional development courses to expand her clinical skills to provide exceptional care for her clients.

Lisa’s treatment approach tends to focus on manual or “hands on” therapy, acupuncture, therapeutic exercise, and education. She enjoys treating patients of all ages and can provide service in both English and French. She strives to ensure every patient receives effective, evidence-informed, and customized treatment. Her goal is to give her patients the tools they need to maximize their health and quality of life.

Lisa’s passion lies not only in Physiotherapy, but in health promotion as well. She has been a certified fitness and yoga instructor since 1996. She conducts fitness and yoga instructor certification courses for the Manitoba Fitness Council, completes practical evaluations and mentors student instructors. She is a retired competitive tennis player, and a current pickle ball addict!

Lisa truly enjoys her career as a Physiotherapist, and it would be her pleasure to assist you with your physiotherapy needs.
Angela Hazlewood BMR(PT) CAFCI
Angela graduated from the Bachelor of Medical Rehabilitation program at the U of M in 2004. Ang is continuing her post-graduate education through various courses in orthopedics and manual therapy. In 2005 she earned her accreditation to practice acupuncture through the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute.

She has also continued her education in this field, and has added dry needling and myofascial release to her practice. Prescribing and creating custom orthotics is also a part of her regular practice. Since having twins in 2012, she has developed an appreciation of the stresses pregnancy places on the body. This began her interest in pilates, and she has incorporated these exercises into home programs for her clients. She believes in promoting and maintaining an active, healthy lifestyle for herself and her family.

She enjoys softball, downhill and waterskiing, and has recently joined a recreational soccer team. She also loves to watch her children enjoying physical activity, and is getting re-acquainted with hockey and softball. She can often be found with her family walking the trails through Hentelleff Park.
Evelyn Lightly, MCISc, BMR(PT), FCAMPT, CAFCI
Evelyn graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Rehabilitation in 1983, and completed a Masters in Clinical Science from the University of Western Ontario in 2011. She is FCAMPT certified, having pursued post-graduate education courses in Orthopaedic Manipulative Therapy.

She is an Instructor and Examiner within the National Orthopaedic Division and holds the current position of Examination Chair for the Education Committee of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. Certified in Acupuncture, she is also an External Examiner for the Art and Science post-graduate course.

Other continuing education has occurred in the areas of Myofascial Release, Concussion Management, Vestibular Rehabilitation.

She is has returned to clinical practice after leaving the owner/partnership aspect of St Vital Physiotherapy.
Justina Nweke, MPT, BMR(PT)
Justina is an internationally trained Physiotherapist holding a master’s degree in Physiotherapy (2012) and a bachelor’s degree in Medical Rehabilitation (PT) (2003).

She has extensive clinical experience focusing on pediatric and adult neuro-rehab. She is very passionate about solving meeting challenges related to joint injuries, neck and back pain, and torticollis. She has attended numerous professional seminars and conferences aimed at enhancing her clinical skills, enabling her to deliver best-practice Physiotherapy services to improve quality of life for her patients.

Justina particularly enjoys the opportunity to help people help themselves. Her favorite thing about her job is helping her clients thorough their rehab journeys and seeing them feel fit and strong again. Justina loves volunteering and gardening in her spare time.

Justina is fluent in English, Igbo and Yoruba. She also understands Arabic and can speak it on a basic level.
Taher (Ty) Khanjiwala PT, BPT
Ty is a dedicated and skilled physiotherapist with extensive experience in musculoskeletal, orthopedic, neurological, and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation. Graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2020 from Seth G.S. Medical College & K.E.M Hospital, Mumbai, he has developed a strong foundation in patient assessment, treatment planning, and evidence-based rehabilitation strategies.

Taher has worked in various healthcare settings, including clinics, hospitals, and on-field sports events. His expertise extends to pain management, postural correction, manual therapy, and advanced electrotherapeutic modalities. He has a particular interest in sports injury management and has provided on-field physiotherapy for major sporting events, including football and squash tournaments.

Beyond clinical practice, Taher has contributed to patient care through volunteering, tele-health consultations, and community health initiatives. He has also pursued advanced training through certifications in FIFA Football Medicine, Manual Therapy, and Trauma Management. Passionate about patient-centered care, he strives to help individuals regain mobility, prevent injuries, and enhance their overall quality of life. He is also able to communicate in English, Hindi and Gujarati.

Outside of work, Taher enjoys playing racquet sports, snooker and a good game of chess. He also loves exploring different cuisines and spending time with his family.
Yidan (Luna) Liu, PT Exam Candidate, MPT, BSc
Luna completed her Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation in China and later earned her Master of Physical Therapy from Duquesne University in the United States. She has three years of clinical experience in musculoskeletal and sports injuries, persistent pain, and post-operative rehabilitation.

Before moving to Canada, Luna also contributed to physiotherapy outreach and training programs in rural regions of China, where she worked with local practitioners and supported basic PT education. These experiences reminded her why she chose physiotherapy in the first place—helping people, supporting communities, and making care available to those who need it.

Luna uses a combination of movement-based exercises and hands-on care, supporting clients in injury recovery, chronic condition management, and mobility improvement. Luna has also completed the Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) qualification and has a general interest in strength and conditioning.

Luna communicates fluently in English and Mandarin, with basic conversational Cantonese. Outside of work, she enjoys playing tennis, cooking, and exploring Manitoba’s natural landscapes. She is committed to lifelong learning and continuously developing her clinical skills.
